Surreal, foreboding, otherworldly, dramatic. Something like a dimensional rift opening across a martian plane.
This is a 'lenticular' cloud disply on Oregon's Alvord desert. These clouds often occur on the leeward side of mountain ranges before major storms. The color was like something I've only seen once before in my life.
